Cassie and her pups

Cassie was taken in by a very generous volunteer. She was found as a stray and very pregnant. She was lucky to be taken in by such a nice person and was able to give birth in a comfortable and clean environment. She has had 8 puppies today (3/20/12) and so far they are healthy and fat. Cassie is being a very good mother.

Though puppies make everyone very happy, it is unfortunate that she was not spayed by whoever owned her previously. We will have to vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, feed, and provide heartworm treatment for all of these babies and their mother. We are asking for donations in order to do so. We will also be having fund raisers and events but if you would like to donate through our chip in we would really appreciate it.
Cassie is currently a Cajun Paws Rescue dog and all of her pups and her will be available for adoption when they are ready. Thanks! We could not do this without generous volunteers!
